Those part of the Assumption faculty are committed to excellence in teaching students and contributing scholarship to the community as well as the academic world. Every year, numerous faculty members write scholarly articles, contribute chapters to or edit academic publications, and release books which showcase expertise.
Professors Jessica de la Cruz and Joseph Alfano have secured a $118,315 National Science Foundation grant to address a shortage of mathematics teachers in the state of Massachusetts. Both will work with 20 first- and second-year undergraduate students interested in STEM or undeclared to promote mathematics and education dual major.
Assumption has been recognized for its commitment to provide Veterans with a higher quality education after new Veterans’ initiatives were introduced. The institution offers customized academic counseling and support, a peer-to-peer Veteran mentoring program and much more. The Veterans Success Committee ensures students have a voice on campus while supporting one another.
