Assumption Professors Named Fulbright Specialists

Assumption Professors Named Fulbright Specialists

Eric Drouart, professor of practice in management, and Samantha Goldman, assistant professor of special education, have been named Fulbright Specialists by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and World Learning. Specialists are selected to join the roster based on skills to make contributions to overseas projects.

Members of the Assumption community  celebrated the groundbreaking of the Health Sciences building in May, the second new building constructed by the College in the last two years.

Construction of New Health Sciences Building Underway

Assumption has begun construction on a new 41,000 square-foot Health Sciences building that will welcome students in fall 2020. The new building will feature four classrooms, and a large tiered classroom. The classrooms are not all exclusively for the nursing and physician assistant programs, but rather for all academic programs.

Light the Way: Geoff ’66 and Erika Smith

Undergraduate Geoff was a Student Government Association member and competed on the baseball and soccer teams. He served as captain of the soccer team his senior year and later inducted into Assumption’s Athletics Hall of Fame. The experiences of community and teamwork inspired him to support Assumption for three decades.
