Alumnus Inspires Compassion

Cedric Ellis ’84 discovered that he preferred studying human resources than English. With his foundation in social work, Ellis pursued a position at the Connecticut Office of Legislative Research as an entry-level researcher. He credits his multidisciplinary liberal arts education from Assumption for finding his true calling in human resources.

Christina Graziano ’10 Endows Scholarship to Support Future Assumption Students

Christina Graziano credits her liberal arts education for making her a “lawyer dedicated to preserving the rights and civil liberties of [her] peers.” After her graduation from Assumption, she went to Suffolk University’s School of Law and then joined an international law firm in Washington D.C., serving as an attorney.

The Importance of Serving with Compassion

Matthew Brennan, political science major, learned many lessons, one of the most important being to serve with compassion. Brennan carried a quote after graduating which says, “The secret of our influence is that we love our students, that they feel our love,” and this guides him in his career in healthcare.
