Deborah Cady Melzer was appointed Vice President of Student Affairs/Dean of Students, responsible for administering operational, education, and counseling functions to foster personal development, accountability, and community within Student Affairs.
Assumption’s Associate Professor of History Stuart Borsch, Ph.D., is part of a research project funded by the French and German governments, supporting the EGYLandscape Project. It is three-year research project exploring historical landscapes, agriculture, nature, and climate of Egypt throughout the Mamluk and Ottoman periods.
For years, individuals around the country have interviewed those who inspire them and achieved those conversations in perpetuity. Before the Class of 2023 arrived onto campus, they participated in a similar activity, embarking upon a journey of individual exploration and discovery.
The Assumption Board of Trustees recently elected five new members including Suzanne Besnia, Micheál Kelly, Vincent Laclerq, Christine Marcks, and Stephen Skoly. Members of the board have a fiduciary responsibility to uphold and advance the mission of Assumption while providing governance of the institution as well.
