Sometimes scoffed at and often misunderstood, esports – organized, multiplayer, computer-based competitions – are hugely popular and, in recent years, have exploded on college campuses. Assumption has established a team in one of the country’s fastest-growing industries and is one of Assumption’s new Blue & White Club Sports.
Assumption nursing and physician assistant students will be housed in the institution’s new state-of-the-art, three-story Health Sciences building. The 41,000-square-foot facility is located next to the Emmanuel d’Alzon Library, across from the Hagan Campus Center, and offers a nursing floor, a PA floor, among other multi-use classrooms.
Assumption’s new direct-admission Bachelor of Science in Nursing program prepares compassionate nurses who treat the whole person. The program will deliver much-needed nurses to the workforce, and nurses educated at Assumption will practice solid clinical judgment and stand out as leaders in healthcare who are expert communicators and deep thinkers.”
On September 26, hundreds of members of the Assumption community signed the last I-beam before it was placed on the frame of the institution’s new Health Sciences building, cementing their place in Assumption history. The state-of-the-art, 41,000-square-foot building, which will house Assumption’s new nursing and physician assistant programs.
