Assumption’s winter sports teams collected impressive records during their seasons, including Men’s Ice Hockey, which amassed one of the best seasons in recent memory, and Women’s Swimming & Diving, who placed second in the NE10 Championships.
In late January, the Assumption Men’s Ice Hockey team celebrated the program’s centennial anniversary. The program took off in 1977 when Stephen Lindberg ’73 assumed head coaching duties. For the 100th-anniversary celebration, more than 50 alumni from different decades returned to the ice for the inaugural Bobby Benoit Alumni Game.
With the Tsotsis Family Academic Center new to campus, it is already integral to campus life. Maybe that’s due to its classic brick and stone exterior or because of the way students and professors gather outside the D’Amour Plaza to continue animated discussions they began in the building’s state-of-the-art classrooms.
